What area of the lubricants industry do you specialise in, and how does it benefit the industry?

With a 70-year heritage in synthetic ester design, originating from aviation turbine oils, NYCO is among the world’s leaders in aviation lubricants and remains the only European producer of such products. Since the mid-1970s, the company has expanded its expertise to industrial and automotive applications. NYCO’s agility, responsiveness, and deep technical knowledge allow it to develop tailor-made ester chemical structures that enhance lubricant performance and longevity. The versatility of synthetic esters, combined with NYCO’s process expertise, enables the company to provide solutions that meet a wide range of performance lubrication requirements.
What are the industry’s biggest challenges since 2024?
The demand for products with reduced environmental and toxicological impact is growing, while regulatory requirements are becoming increasingly stringent. NYCO’s synthetic esters offer excellent environmental and toxicological profiles, supporting sustainability in the lubricants industry. Through careful raw material selection and rigorous production processes, NYCO helps reduce carbon emissions, lower friction and energy consumption, and extend the lifespan of lubricants and equipment.
How do you think your company has developed since the last edition of the Expo in 2024?
NYCO has taken significant steps to strengthen its presence in North America and Europe. A key development is the launch of a new manufacturing facility in Newnan, Georgia, which will be operational in 2025. This facility is designed to comply with strict U.S. regulations and will play a vital role in enhancing innovation, mitigating business continuity risks, and securing contingency supply. The new plant sets NYCO apart by prioritizing quality, safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance. It will be instrumental in supporting industrial and commercial aviation markets, reinforcing NYCO’s global strategic growth and brand reputation.
How will the Lubricant Expo help your company?
Lubricant Expo provides an excellent opportunity to engage with current customers and suppliers while also forming new business relationships. The event brings together key industry players in a collaborative environment, allowing NYCO to highlight its expertise and introduce its expanding presence in North America. Having seen Lubricant Expo progress over the months, what are you most excited about for 2025?
NYCO has been an exhibitor at Lubricant Expo Europe since 2023 and has witnessed the event’s growing impact. Following the successful launch of the Detroit edition in 2024, NYCO is eager to see the continued expansion of the Expo. The opportunity to network with key industry players and exchange insights with business partners is one of the most exciting aspects of the event.
What will you be showcasing on your stand at Lubricant Expo?
NYCO will present its diverse range of synthetic esters and formulated fluids, along with its comprehensive technical support services. A major highlight will be the introduction of NYCO’s new U.S. manufacturing facility in Newnan, Georgia, which will enhance supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness for North American customers.
